Each year we welcome a new class of high school ACTION (Active Civics to Inspire Our Nation) leaders at Morven Park’s Center for Civic Impact. These are students who want to make positive changes in their communities and democracy through civic and political actions. Are you an ACTION leader?
This summer a group of eager middle school students came to Morven Park ready to take part in our Kitchen Table program. This program transports participants back to the Progressive Era (c. 1900 – 1918) to become social activists tackling some of the most challenging issues from the period.
Our democracy depends on people being aware of and getting involved with public issues that face our communities and country. Morven Park’s Center for Civic Impact is all about inspiring and preparing young citizens to be engaged citizens who can step up to this responsibility. So, what is engaged citizenship?
